FAQ
How can I protect a trademark or trade name?
The first step is to check whether it is available. Once this has been done, we can file an application with the INPI (for France), the EUIPO (for the European Union) or WIPO (for international protection). Where necessary, we can also work with our network of trusted foreign correspondents.
We work with you to define which activities to cover, then follow the process through to registration.
What should I do if my product is copied?
If your product or its name is copied or used without permission, several courses of action may be available depending on the circumstances: sending a cease and desist letter, filing an opposition or invalidity action before the INPI or EUIPO, or bringing court proceedings before the competent civil or commercial courts.
We assess your case, advise you on the most appropriate strategy and take the necessary steps to defend your rights. If the infringement takes place abroad, we work with our network of trusted local correspondents.
Can you draft or negotiate contracts?
Yes. We draft and help you negotiate a wide range of intellectual property agreements, including licence agreements, assignments of rights, confidentiality agreements, coexistence agreements, co-ownership agreements, and research and development agreements.
We ensure that your rights are properly protected and that the commitments made are clear and balanced, while keeping the commercial realities of your project firmly in mind.
Do you handle domain name and cybersquatting matters?
Yes. We can assist you with registering, recovering or defending a domain name, particularly in cases of cybersquatting or infringement of your rights.
We can represent you in dispute resolution proceedings such as UDRP, URS or Syreli proceedings, which provide an effective way to recover domain names registered or used in breach of your rights.
Can you assist with GDPR and data protection matters?
Yes. We advise on GDPR and data protection compliance. We carry out audits to identify potential risks and support you in ensuring your business is compliant, particularly where personal data is processed as part of digital projects or commercial activities.
